Hiawatha High School principal Mark Zych helps count royal court votes during prom at Faranda's Banquet Center in DeKalb on Saturday, May 9, 2015. Fairdale residents Casey Martinez and Levi Novotny were elected to the prom court. This is Zych's fourth year as principal and the senior class is especially close to his heart since they were freshman when he started at Hiawatha. He said he's proud of the Hiawatha community, which is made up of Kirkland and Faridale residents, for the support and recovery efforts since the April 9 Fairdale tornado.
