Charles Ridulph shows a copy of "Footsteps in the Snow," signed by author Charles Lachman in his Sycamore home on Tuesday, November 25, 2014. The book chronicles the time from his sister Maria Ridulph’s kidnapping and murder in 1957 through the conviction of Jack D. McCullough 55 years later in 2012. Lachman signed "This is for Maria," for Ridulph. A portion of the proceeds from the book will be put in a fund to provide scholarships for kids at West Elementary, the school Maria Ridulph attended.
Jack D. McCullough, found guilty in her kidnapping and murder in 2012, is currently serving a life sentence in Pontiac Correctional Center and his appeal will begin on Dec. 3, the 57th anniversary of the kidnapping.
