Construction workers tear down University Apartments to make room for a new residence hall on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. The new residence hall is scheduled to open in fall 2012 and is intended for incoming freshmen. It will have 1,000 beds and will be located on Annie Glidden Road north of Lincoln Hall. The buildings will feature cluster-style living arrangements with enhanced privacy, private bedrooms, semi-private bathrooms and a common space that includes a study area, living area and kitchenette. A groundbreaking for the hall is scheduled for noon Monday.
