The Stryker Power PRO XT, which is a new ambulance cot that the DeKalb Fire Department recently acquired, uses a battery that lasts for about 20 calls before needing charging according to Lt. Don Faulhaber.<br />

Lt. Don Faulhaber, of the DeKalb Fire Department, demonstrates how the new Stryker Power-PRO XT ambulance cot operates. The cot utilizes a battery powered hydraulic system that raises and lowers patients with the push of a button. This reduces lifting as well as risk of back injuries.<br />
