In September, Habitat for Humanity of DeKalb County acquired the property once home to Chuck's Auto Center at 1625 DeKalb Avenue. Board president Anthony Cvek said plans for the property were still being discussed.

  • The foundation for a new Hardee's on DeKalb Avenue was poured Wednesday. On Thursday, Pedro Campuzano was part of a crew removing the forms to allow plumbing and electrical work to begin.

Earlier this month the Sycamore City Council removed the final hurdle for a new Hardee's to go in on DeKalb Avenue. Work has continued on the site since.
