  • Dirt is excavated from the site of a $46 million water treatment plant upgrade for the Kishwaukee Water Reclamation District. Some of the excavated dirt will be transferred to an area of Hopkins Park to build a sled hill.
  • Peoria Heights-based Williams Brothers Construction works to add the main plant drain for the Kishwaukee Water Reclamation District's modernized water treatment plant. This 30-foot-deep sewer will allow the plant's new aeration tanks to be drained for maintenance.
