A large group of Northern Illinois University faculty, staff and students came out to hear Acting NIU President Lisa Freeman speak during an open forum Thursday in the auditorium at Altgeld Hall on the NIU campus in DeKalb. Freeman, who recently made her candidacy for the permanent president position official, outlined her plans for the university and took questions from the audience.
