Firefighter/paramedics battle a fire which started as a controlled burn but spread to a nearby barn at High Hopes Acres, 25876 Darnell Road, on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017 in Sycamore. At least nine companies responded with water and manpower, including Sycamore, DeKalb, Cortland, Malta, Waterman, Maple Park, Ellburn and Countryside, Hampshire, and Marengo.
