Cathy Elston, from Sycamore, hands her gift card donation to Northern Illinois University Football player Jordan Cole, a junior from St. Louis, during the Spartan Food Pantry's gift card drive-thru event Wednesday benefiting the victims of the St. Albans Green apartment fire. Those wishing to contribute were able to pull up to the bus lane in front of West Elementary School in Sycamore and hand their donation to waiting NIU football players who volunteered to help out at the event.
