Joe Pedersen, of Malta, receives his robe from his wife Liz after being sworn in as an associate judge of the 23rd Judicial Circuit Court Wednesday at the DeKalb County Courthouse in Sycamore. Pedersen is replacing Judge William Brady, who retired last month after 16 years on the bench.
