The price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas at 2:17pm Monday was $2.69 at the Circle K on East State Street in Sycamore. At 2:18pm it had jumped to $2.89 as the station adjusted its prices to reflect the the newly implemented gas tax that went into effect July 1.
